The main problem of the story is that hairy men or rat creatures are trying to take over the valley that the Bones, Thorn, and Grandma Ben are living in.Smiley bone and Phone bone are making money by saying that they will slay a dragon but they know that they will never have to because they know that the dragons are on their side. Thorn finds out that she is a princess and her parents where killed by the rat creatures when she was a little girl. But she is really mad at Grandma because she lied to her for so long. They are forced to leave they’re house and go to barrel heaven because it is safe. The most exciting part is when the rat creatures attack and the people of barrel heaven are forced to go high up in to the mountains to trap and kill a dragon. Then they find out that phony bone is not a dragon slayer. There are six main characters in this book there is Fone bone, Thorn, Smiley bone, Phony bone, Grandma Ben, and Lucius. Fone bone and Thorn are friends. All of the bones are cousins. Grandma Ben is thorns grandma and lucius is the owner of the bar in barrel heaven he also has a crush on Grandma Ben. Now that you know a little more about the main characters you can understand the story a little better. This story has a few places where it takes place it takes place In barrel heaven, the mountains in the woods and in a valley. Barrel heaven is the main town in the book but Grandma Ben and Thorn don’t live there, they live in the forest. The mountains is were the story ends in this book.
